As I sit in Phnom Penh on the banks of the Mekong, I am contemplating the past year and preparing for the challenges of the new. It has been quite a challenging and transformative year for me, your blogmaster, but it was also one full of life and adventure. New people, new places, new perspectives and quite a bit learned.
As we move into the new year while I am reminded that the “January 1” construct is human-made, it does serve as a psychological “restart” for many. Here is hoping that your restart involves not only dreams of travel, but the reality of travel.
Our wish for you at flying north is that in 2013 you travel often, live in the moment and take in every experience as if it was your first.
Happy New Year from flying north!
