It’s been a while since you’ve seen me at flyingnorth. Not for a lack of traveling, of course. Recently I’ve been to Luxembourg, Germany, and have had various and sundry other experiences on the globe including an aborted attempt at getting to Florida due to a strange grounding of all flights in the Northeast. This was due to an air traffic control issue that was all but hidden from the public for several hours but resulted in Delta Airlines cancelling 321 flights on one night – one of which was mine. Posts on these experiences are all forthcoming.
Since last I posted, the World Trade Center Tower 1 has become the largest building in New York City (as seen from the flyingnorthblog International Headquarters in Manhattan), in political news the Supreme Court has upheld the United States’ Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) inching the country closer to matching the rest of the industrialized world vis a vis healthcare, and Tom Cruise is getting divorced (ha). And today, Italy will beat Spain in the EuroCup final.
I’ve gotten a lot of email asking where I have been, and the answer is, right here thinking. Yes, I’m back. Next week I embark on a journey through London to Morocco and then through Barcelona. I’ll be posting along the way, and updating as I go.
